# Membership Type Select Property Update

## Overview

The **Membership Type Select Property Update** feature automatically updates a HubSpot contact select property with membership types pulled from ABC Ignite.

This is useful when you want:

* HubSpot dropdown options to always match ABC Ignite membership types
* New membership types added in ABC Ignite to appear automatically in HubSpot
* Existing HubSpot property options preserved
* A reusable feature that can be configured per module instance

The feature is designed to work inside a Middle module and can be reused across implementations.

## What This Feature Does

The workflow:

1. Retrieves all membership types from ABC Ignite
2. Retrieves the existing membership type HubSpot contact property
3. Combines:
   * ABC Ignite membership type names
   * Existing HubSpot property options
4. Removes duplicates
5. Updates the HubSpot property with the final combined list

This ensures HubSpot always has the latest available membership type options without removing existing values.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.middle.app/middle-docs/guides/app-reference/hubspot/integration-guides/abc-ignite/membership-type-select-property-update.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
